Our US government has lied to us FOREVER

I've voted in every state (4) and national election since 1972.BOTH the Democrats and Republicans are equally guilty of this lying FOREVER.My Dad advised: your vote is your license to complain.
My 3 steps to correct this pervasive corruption by BOTH parties in Washington DC.
1) true campaign reform...no larger donation than 200.00
2)Total elimination of ALL LOBBIES in DC.
3) Term limits Senator,12 years Congressmen,8 years
Do I believe any of these 3 steps will ever be taken...of course NOT !
I can identify more with each election voting for the lessor of 2 evils.

The People of California voted against gay "marriage". All legally and properly done. It was appealed, by lefties/Democrats, all the way to SCOTUS, and they "somehow" made/turned it into national "law".
Democrats obviously don't care about democracy or the significance of the "vote of the people" or State Rights. I wonder what equivalent example you'd give for the Right.

Definitely a statement that has been said for a long time, and though is accurate, we definitely need to find a way to not be the only option. Unfortunately we live in a nation that we have people think that people who don't even have the right to vote, has the equivalent right to complain. That needs to change.

He’s talking about the perspective of the North, but you know that. The North has been able to basically subjugate the will of the South since the beginning through simple population advantage.
This has nothing to do with the OP being accurate, though. The federal government has had a license to lie to and frick over the population with the factors already mentioned (no term limits and lobbying) along with the existence of the FBI, CIA, and other federal agencies who “know what’s best for us.”

Wah wah,wah. Muh gubmint is so corrupt, but I'll keep sending my representative to Congress because he's not the corrupt guy. But what I really want is to enshrine gubmint corruption via term limits.
