The NIL just kinda killed tradition and everything. It’s becoming college basketball

Guarantee you would not feel this way if we were in the playoff race lol easy to say this when we are 7-4 in a playoffs or bust season with a fired head coach

From day one of the NIL shite, it struck me as ultimately being a killing a goose that laid the golden egg situation.

Legit don't even know what you mean by this. Also, no one cares. CFB is awesome.

The 40-50 new players every season make me care way less.

My unsolicited advice is to focus on and appreciate what college football is now, rather than mourn what it was, because there’s no going back to the way things were.

Yeah I'm sure it's not because we suck dick. I'm sure it's because of the NIL.

If LSU is 10-1 this time next year I bet you'll find that passion again

I'd feel the same way if my team was about to give Lame Kiffin 90 million to be head coach....

College sports had a charm that pro sports didn’t have. Now college sports is pro sports. Players are paid. They have no attachment to the school. Most fans don’t even look at them as students. Rosters change yearly. It sucks.

Nobody wants to watch a secondary league to the NFL.

I feel the same...watching senior night I realized it's just a bunch of mercenaries who pop on for a short time and don't give a shite about our State or traditions....its really sad and disheartening.

George Elwood "Doc" Fenton would like a word. LSU's first bona fide football star. Recruited from Mansfield State College in Pennsylvania with a better offer than they were paying him. Played two years at LSU despite having already played four years of college ball in the US and professional rugby in Canada. Led LSU to its first national title in 1908.

If you could fix the transfer portal I think that would help. Go back to make commitments stick with some minor exceptions.

Younger fans will still watch because they barely remember remember the golden era of college football from 1975-2010. Betting on games amongst the younger generation has also increased significantly. But just like their shitty music and culture, they have no reference point for how entitled and soft this current generation of players is.

I didn't even watch the game last night. First time In years that happened. I love LSU football. I can't get into it as much. Granted that will change with the new regime

It was so easy to predict that this is exactly what was going to come of NIL the way it was set up, but nOoOooO, everyone was saying how great it would make it and how players were being exploited by the schools, and all the other BS.

This was a very predictable result.
