Up here for a wedding and this part of of the country is breathtaking.

I was sweating my arse off in 80 something high humidity weather on Thursday, in Baton Rouge

Now up here in the foothills, 9 hours away...it's absolutely perfect.
The elevation just gives everything more life. You can see the horizon. There's actual FALL.

The people are friendly,
There's very little trash, the roads are good.

Hell, I went in a Walmart, had zero issues, and the staff were all friendly. This place feels like paradise for the moment.

What's wrong with it?

Thanks for advertising, in 5 years it will be flooded with a million white liberal males, ruining the charm.

It's getting too crowded.

But yeah beautiful day. Kids are playing with the back doors wide open.

Well, I couldn't get Bailey's at the Walmart

Can't get the Costco or Trader Joe's brand liquors here either. That does suck, but it's not a deal breaker.

Dude...I'm sitting here in a little one bedroom+ a loft and thinking "when all the kids are gone...this is completely doable."

I don't have that much more now but cozy is comfy.

More American homeowners are looking to move south next year.

Nearly half of the top 25 cities on movers’ radars were concentrated in the American South and Southwest, according to a new study by Move Buddha. The moving technology company surveyed search data from 2019 through 2025 to forecast the country’s most sought-after locales in 2026.

One Southern city easily proved the most popular, while other US hotspots fell to the wayside.

Spoilers.. it's Knoxville.

There’s very little culture and community in East Tennessee.

I know a few people who have moved there or are talking about moving there. Enjoy it while it lasts.
