Anyone else hearing LSU has paused the coaching search?

No interviews. No calls lined up. Guess everyone is waiting til Saturday now.

Lane is widely expected to formalize next week after the egg bowl, but if not choice 2 is on speed dial and are far along in the process. We’ll have a coach within 9 days at latest.

This is a really bad move. So far it’s been a copy cat HC envy exercise. We should be talking this job up to all circles. This program deserves to get a coach who actually wants this job more than a raise.

I hope it goes down that way as it means Chicken’s report on the one week OM contract is spot on.
OM fans will riot on that news if their administration caved to facilitate Lane’s exit from Oxford.

I know that Lane has put feelers out about staff and given unofficial hints where he’s headed next year. I think he’s going to put together an all star staff.
