What are your thoughts on this quote from Canadian anthropologist Wade Davis? Do you agree or disagree?

“The world in which you were born is just one model of reality. Other cultures are not failed attempts at being you; they are unique manifestations of the human spirit.”

just like religion whatever you are born into is all you know, for the most part. Very few people even consider differences to be valid

That’s one of those quotes that you laugh at because it’s way too hippie

I don't know if I agree or disagree, but it is an interesting starting point for a conversation, especially as it relates to existence and consciousness. In many Eastern religions, attachment to one's own reality is a hindrance to personal spiritual growth.

pretty sure I know what you're referencing, and that isn't culture, that's some sort of gross mutation that's like a cancer spreading rapidly

Other cultures that I’ve been lucky enough to spend time with often dispel the stereotypes that are often spread through sites like ours.

True.

And what a tough concept for Americans and especially Christians.

This is such a bland take that I'm not sure how it's even really possible to disagree with it. It's basically a tautology.

The left wing fascination with multiculturalism is pathological.

I love the cultures, especially in parts of Africa and the Middle East where you can be murdered for being a white Christian. Such vibrant cultures
