If Auburn beats Bama, Bama will fire Kalen, and all of a sudden the Kiffin sweepstakes will have a new participant. Then I think Kiffin really would leave, just not to LSU or Florida.

Absolutely. They aren't winning it all anyway.

But, on the flip side, Auburn would make DJ the permanent coach. One less team competing.

I’ve said it earlier this week and I’ll say it again…

I like them having Deboer. He's good enough they win a lot of games, good enough it's tough to fire him over the few losses that occur, but I dont think hes strong enough to win a NC.

I’d prefer to keep them slightly struggling while we reload.

No one thought we would fire BK when we did.

At Bama, a four loss season followed by a three loss season is cause enough if LSU is a threat to land Lane. Could be why Lane is holding out.

No way Bama fires Daboer after two seasons. No coach would want to go there.

Kiffin’s bullshite cost Bama a NC which is pretty much an unforgivable sin in their eyes.

Kalen Deboer's buyout would be somewhere in the $65 to $70 million dollar range, that's a lot of cheddar for a two year tenure.

I don't think this is remotely close to being a true assertion. Kiffin was available when Deboer was hired and Alabama did not give him the time of day. Kiffin burnt a lot of bridges at Bama with his handling of the transition to FAU HC job and cost BAMA the 2016 National Championship (played in January of 2017) in the eyes of many important Bama boosters.

Personally, I would be more worried about the Texass job becoming available than the Bama job and I do not think that Kiffin would be near the top of Texass' wishlist.

Besides, Deboer is a good coach and will be a thorn in the side of all SEC teams on an annual basis. Will he win as much as Nick Saban? Probably not, that is a tough act to follow.

Let’s face it, Alabama is a couple lucky breaks from being a 4 loss team already
