And I think it’s more likely that we are getting played. Maybe it started off differently but now with today’s “news” I think we are the patsy

I mean that just doesn't make any sense. If you look at it realistically there is 1 of 2 options going on here:
1. Kiffin doesn't know what he is doing yet but both him and OM's AD agree to a decision by next Saturday (this would be where someone is getting played but this is probably bullshite TBH)
2. Kiffin is leaving. He wants to finish what he started and OM wants to make the playoffs. So they push the announcement back so Kiffin can finish out the regular season, get OM to the playoffs and then ride off into the sunset.
There is no way this is a situation where he is staying and OM is drawing it out to try and frick with LSU and Florida. There is too much on the line for them. If he was staying they would have announced it to solely focus on this playoff run.

Or all parties know what is going on and they are waiting for the regular season to be over with because all parties tend to gain something from it.

It would have a tremendously negative impact on future negotiations for Lane and for other candidates.
Do you think Saban, who’s enjoyed a close relationship with LSU, and who actually gave thought to the offer he received, would be okay with this?
It’s pretty widely known that Lane asks for his advice. Ms. Terry calls him and Kirby their kids, FFS.

Yep. Kiffin to LSU. Joe Judge to coach Ole Miss. Rebs trying to nail down assistants and key players. Kiffin agreed not to solicit either this week. Departs Saturday with no disputes or lawsuits and a 11-1 record at Ole Miss. As close to a win win as it gets.

if he is playing schools, and stays at OM, he will have burned his bridges with LSU, Alabama, Auburn, and Florida. Hope he REALLY likes Oxford, because that's home for a long time.
