Just throwing it out there for all the people on this board risking ban bets that he has announced in the next couple minutes he’s coming to LSU.

This is their senior reporter who updated this 30 minutes ago

“For Kiffin to walk away, he’s going to have to leave a team likely bound for the College Football Playoff. Can he actually do it?

One source who is very tied in to Ole Miss developments, told a friend late Thursday, the “odds of Lane staying at Ole Miss are 80 percent. I would say 95 percent, but, with Lane, you never know for sure. But, unless he changes his mind on Friday morning, he and Keith should be announcing something in the next day or two that will make it official that he has decided to decline the offers and stay at Ole Miss.”

Are you getting them mixed up with A&M or are they both figs?

Lane might very well stay, but the "will he leave a team bound for the CFP?" narrative is so fricking stupid and rewrites history of WHY he'd have to leave the team bound for the CFP--and it's not because he wants to.

I would not be shocked by anything.

Except an announcement at 9 am today.

You never know for sure but then give very specific odds about his decision. Drives me nuts

I've expected this to happen the whole time. I think he'd be crazy to do it, though. But, in this new NIL world, I think he wanted to get more assurances there. There's also something to be said to stick around for an employer that took a chance on you when the bigger guys wouldn't, especially when you wanted them to. Now, that certainly speaks to Ole Miss' place in the world, but Lane seems like he at least appreciates something like that now days. I don't think that would've been the case when they hired him, though.

I hope he stays at ole miss

Then he can prove that he’s a stable individual and not the person Al Davis described after he fired him

I know I’m in the minority but I’ve always thought this was the likely outcome.

Even now.

Thank you Honkie.

I just can't seem to get my hopes up regarding Kiffin. At first I didn't even want him to come here, but I've kind of come around on that. I just don't think it'll happen.

Of course, it's certainly possible I'm telling myself that so I don't set myself up for disappointment.
