There have been reports LSU and Lane have agreed in principal and part of that agreement is LSU is willing to let him finish out the season with OM.
There are also reports that OM wants an answer from Lane prior to the prep week for the Egg Bowl.
I’m thinking that the reports saying news will drop this morning regarding Kiffin to LSU is due to folks thinking OM doesn’t let him stay for the remainder of the year.
My guess is Lane tells OM he’s leaving but would like to coach remainder of the year. They don’t allow it and LSU announces their next head coach?
Maybe there is an opportunity for OM to agree to let him finish and this shite show continues to roll?

If he is our next coach I hope OM lets him finish out. He could gain playoff experience. I wouldn’t blame them if they don’t though.

Unless he is staying, the smartest move by Lane is to agree to LSU, then say nothing to Ole Miss. Force Ole Miss to act. Put the ball in their court. Unless LSU is giving him a deadline to sign and then contractually he has to inform Ole Miss.

LSU may let him finish the season, and I hope we do. However, make no mistake about it; the hiring will be announced prior to signing day, 100%.

How do you figure that? If they are in the playoffs, they aren't going to let an interim coach take the helm of a possible natty attempt. Would you?
