Lane is the flashy pick but I'd rather Brohm or Dilly

If you made me choose between the three i'd go Dilly but it'd be hard to get either one of them away from their current schools

My take is that we need to stop thinking of coaches in the traditional sense. You have to be able to win in the NIL/Portal era. We've seen pre-NIL Lane and post-NIL Lane and for my money, he's as good as it gets in this new landscape.

I don't get the Brohm love. His teams look so undisciplined. I do think Sumrall, Dirk and Dilly are equal/better than Lane. All have actually accomplished something as a head coach. The dark horse is the guy at Texas tech. He has shown he knows how to manage NIL.

I think dilly would have been the pick if he was a little older and not at his Alma mater. That's a tough pull and a lot of zeroes to make that happen. Possible but unlikely.

Lane has 2 CUSA titles as a HC. Thats it. Sumrall has 2 SBC and Drink has a chance for 3 consecutive 10 win seasons in the SEC.

I get that Dilly is a passionate head coach that could inspire a team to run through a brick wall. However, to be an offensive minded coach…. How does Arizona State have the same amount of passing TDs as LSU (15) and only 12 rushing TDs compared to 9 for LSU?
To me that’s not impressive. They average 1 point more a game than LSU.
Edit to add: They haven’t scored 30 points in a power 4 conference game all year.

Personally I don’t think want to see Kiffin at LSU. He will not bring long term success or stability in my opinion. And possibly bankrupt us with another ridiculous contract.
