Since Lebby was hired State has got out to a lead. That kid’s film is impressive. He’s double or triple covered almost every play.

Here’s some crazy stats for you.
LSU left 18 runners on base in game 3.
LSU left 48 (FORTY-EIGHT) runners on base the title series.
Florida only left 19 on base.
LSU had 74 players reach base (42 hits).
Florida had 48 total.
LSU struck out 28 times.
Florida struck out 43 times. And they never even faced Skenes.
LSU left 18 runners on base in game 3.
LSU left 48 (FORTY-EIGHT) runners on base the title series.
Florida only left 19 on base.
LSU had 74 players reach base (42 hits).
Florida had 48 total.
LSU struck out 28 times.
Florida struck out 43 times. And they never even faced Skenes.

I think it’s just a slump. Friday night I saw him starting to press at the plate. First time he’s done that all year. Was trying to do too much. Which I believe signals that he’s in a slump and he knows it. Kid is a freak show but he is….. human.

That is interesting for sure. I’ve heard Ben talk about how he suspects that changes were made to the ball this year.
No way to know this but wonder what the difference of exit velo would be now compared to bats in 2009.
But the HR rate is a big difference. Better batting avg against but a good margin in 2023 vs 2009. Yet ERA is higher in 2023. But I think we can all agree the SEC is much better now than compared to 2009.

I get respecting Crews but a single scores 1 run with runners at 1st and 2nd. Walking him led to a single scoring 2 runs. Putting 2 in scoring position to face the guy that leads the country in RBIs was probably more risky than pitching to Crews with 1 runner in scoring position.

Impressive the batting avg and slugging so far this season compared to 2009. Cause the bats then were before the drastic change of the bats.
However, pitching ERA should be lower in 2023 when you factor in the change of the bats.

Some of y’all fail to realize that he lost 10 players from last years roster. 10! The guys scrambled to get what he has now on campus. Give him some slack. We played a very weak non-conference schedule because of the huge turnover of the roster. I hate losing to anyone by 40 but you can’t compare this roster to a team like Alabama right now.

Geno Smith threw for 463 yards vs that 2011 defense. And a dude with the worst chest tattoo ever threw for 234 yards against them as well.
2011 defense had a lot of studs. But you’re talking about a top 5 QB in the NFL and 2 top 5 WRs in the NFL. 2011 team never faced an offense remotely close to the talent on 2019 team.

Hope it’s not true but if it is I hope he gives up football for good. I’ve had 3 concussions and those things aren’t anything to mess with.

I’m from the ‘Burg as well. I’ve only heard about Florida. That’s who my USM friends are fearing between us and UF because of the gf. But hey maybe you got solid information!
