If a zero-star QB from Ferris State hadn’t transferred to Ole Miss, half this board wouldn’t be praising Kiffin as the top candidate. Ole Miss wouldn’t be 10–1 with Simmons, and they wouldn’t be in the playoff conversation.

Who identified the QB?

Who turned him into an SEC starter?

So Kiffin has no bearing on the kid’s success? Got it.

What kind of logic is this? If anything what he’s done with this kid should make people want him more as our coach

Nobody wanted this quarterback

Crazy thought here
Lane Kiffin has one road top 25 win as a head coach
I’m not saying he wouldn’t work out
But it’s no guarantee

Wonder who got him on the team and put him in the best position to succeed

If Saban hadn’t recruited that 2* rb from Evangle that fumbled once in a 4 year college career.

If miles hadn’t offered that 3* db/returner from St. Aug or that 2* wr from destrehan .

You need someone with an eye for talent, an ability to coach them up and playcalling ability to put them in the position to succeed.

The official story was that Weiss Jr (who I think is nothing but a clipboard holder like Golding) found him and recommended offering him to come in as a backup QB.

And let’s not forget that Kiffin didn’t even consider starting him until Simmons got knocked out of a game, and Simmons didn’t look all that great in those first two games, either.

What Chambliss has done since is impossible to knock. Even if Kiffin fell arse backwards into this, it still happened. Luck is a part of college athletics.

Name one season where Lane Kiffin’s QB as Head Coach or even as OC, where the QB was not one of the better players at the position in the conference.

Corral’s first season and Dart’s first season were pretty rough. Dart especially fell apart after we exposed OM in 2022. But he definitely did develop them.

Who identified his under used talent and recruited him? Then made him a star?

And why are they 10-1? Who made the right decisions that got them that result?

Stupid post. You just solidified why Kiffin is the top coach on the market right now. They win BECAUSE of his leadership and vision. Everything that happened this year proves it

The kid transferred in the late signing period so his previous coach probably had a lot more to do with his development than Kiffin.

How about that zero star QB would have faded to oblivion without his coach?

Imagine what Lane can do with a decent starting point!
