Why isn’t Verge playing Sexton’s game?

Fly in another coach or two to BTR. Leak information. Plant “insiders” stating they are only using Sexton to drive up the price for Ole Miss as their real target is “x”?

I think that might have happened. They aren’t flying anyone in no.

My unfounded suspicion is they are all playing the Trace Armstrong game.
We are using the Lane circus to negotiate with a different sexton client who doesn’t want the attention.
Sexton is using this to drive up the price on OM and UF. LSU is more than willing to have them drain their coffers.
Additionally it also resets the narrative on the coaching search to show LSU has gotten itself in order.
I mean when is the last time that a flight itinerary leaked in a coaching search like this.

You might be giving LSU too much credit, but I could see Sexton doing this. It’s an interesting theory. I don’t think it’s right, but interesting.
