The Saints expect to play a regular-season game in Paris, perhaps in 2026, Saints president Dennis Lauscha said Tuesday.

Negotiations continue between the NFL and stadium officials in Paris, but Lauscha expects the deal to be finalized soon.

“You might hear in the next couple weeks that we might be having a game internationally, and that game may be in Paris,” Lauscha said at the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club on Tuesday, via Jeff Duncan of nola.com. “We have the rights to the country of France and Monaco, so that makes so much sense, we think. We’re really excited about that [possibility].”

Paris would be a new market for the NFL.

Stade de France, a primary venue for the 2024 Olympics, would host the game.

Why

Louisiana's French history.

But I'd definitely choose a city other than Paris.

I've been wanting to go to an international game.

But I think ill pull for Monaco over Paris.

The team is playing in Paris next year. The league started an international marketing rights campaign last year and the Saints got France.

The team has already sent a contingent over there to work on logistics. Game is at Stade, but they looked at Parc des Princes. .

There is a New Orleans Saints themed bar in Paris.

And season ticket holders need not worry – they’ll still be charge full price for the ticket. Of course, if they actually want the ticket and plan to go to Paris, they have to pay an additional $250 for the ticket.

The Saints are the NFL ambassador for France. There was a reason why Gayle and Demario were in Paris this past July.

To be honest, I was fully expecting it when they did some France/Saints fan building PR thing last year.

The only thing I worry is the NFL will schedule an away division game the week after.

No bye week for the team to recover.

Paris is a pretty damned nice city. The others I’ve visited are fine, but not nearly on the scale with Paris.

This is what I hate. I hope that guy in California wins his lawsuit. Don’t make me pay for a ticket I can never use.

Do you think the Saints would really raise prices that much?

I suppose it could be masked with an extra preseason game if the schedule works that way.
