Considering none of it is coming out of my pocket, I want the best guy we can get.

fricking wild that a fan wants to make a fiscally conservative move when it's not your money.

Do I get to keep the $8 million of leftover money?
If not, then go for Lane.

Nope. Give me Baker for 10m less and raise the NIL budget by 10m.

In the NIL era, I don't think spending all your money on the coach is wise. I'd rather a good coach with an incentive ladden $7-8mil/yr salary and the rest goes towards spending on elite talent.

Where are we getting that if we spend 13 on Lane we are broke for NIL?

LSU has the money....LSU will spend the money...they've done it before, they're doing it now, and they'll do it in the future

IDK. Lane still Lanes. He went for it on 4th and goal last week when he could have made it a TD game. Refs potentially bailed him out with a no-call PI that would have pushed UF down the field.

I dont understand why so many of yall are so infatuated woth money. Its not our decision and we aren't paying it. I simply want the best coach we can get for whatever the powers that be are willing to pay. I want winning football. I want to compete for championships.

People just make shite up in their head and then find ways to justify it.

No. This is not the era for overpaid coaches. There is a finite amount of donor dollars.

Until they fix it, this is the era of bribing players.
