Dealing with this on the personal side with wealthy grandfather who doesn't want to believe woman 22 years younger then him (he is 77, she is 55) is about to marry him a year and 1/2 after his wife died because she "loves" him and not because he is a golden parachute and worth many millions of dollars from real estate, stocks, bonds, etc.

Not directly but have watched it play out. Its amazing how fricking stupid 50-something year old men act when a young succubus makes them believe they're into them

He's 77

Chances are he's well aware of the dynamic, he's choosing to be happy anyway in his final years.

What's his earthly treasure going to do for him in the grave?

Better to be spent on buying the companionship of a younger woman in his final years.

My grandfather remarried after my grandmother died. My mom and her sister had to do a lot of fighting to keep the wife from taking everything she could from the estate while my grandfather was in hospice. They overheard her on the phone talking to someone saying that she had him sign 2 blank checks and she was going to try to get him to sign more. The whole time they were married, she was trying to get him to sell a lake property that was set to be inheritance. I could go on and on, but my grandfather was a shell of his former self through that whole marriage and it was a bit disheartening because he was the fun grandfather who helped shape my current interests in life and he passed away when I was early in high school.

My guess is even at 77 he knows what's going on. He just doesn't care because he has a much younger girlfriend/fiance. Convincing him to care is another battle.

It's his money. He can do what he wants with it.

You need to tell your grandfather. If he is going to go gold digger, to do it the right way.

Don’t go 22 years younger, go 22 years old

He's 77. Only has 10-15 years at most. Let him get his dick wet.

Make a deal with him. Tell him you'll shut up about it if he will give you your inheritance in advance.

Very much like dealing with an addict. Nothing you can do until they realize it themselves and want help. Even then statistically, they’re probably still a lost cause.

This whole thread could be retitled “My family member is about to spend a bunch of his money that we all think we should get.”

People lose their fricking minds when it comes to being “owed” an inheritance.

Is the dude in his right mind? If so, then leave him alone to do what he wants.

That’s the vibe it gives off.

Im probably, going to end up there at some point.

I watched a couple of men in there late 60s move in a 40 year old. A good looking 40 year old in at that.

They just want someone around them that is attractive and happy.
Except the women are never happy.
All they do is cause the men Chaos.

They are both flawed people, in Relationship Situtations for the wrong reasons.

With him, everything he has is in a trust, so she cant really access it even after he dies. But he has made her verbal promises of property, housing, Sociail Security if she sticks around, But when he goes, the whole family is going after everything he has.

because he feels it would cut into their much anticipated slice of the inheritance pie.

I mean how would that NOT tear the family apart?!
