When or if he announces he's going to Florida or LSU, he will effectively be done at Ole Miss the second it's official.
Under no circumstance will Ole Miss allow him to keep coaching at that point.

My understanding is they are telling him to sign the extension to stay or go ahead and leave. So if it is announced he won’t coach anymore games there. He could come here and start recruiting and evaluating current team and portal needs. If he is your guy and you could get him now then thats best case scenario. Ole Miss doesn’t want to wait around and him leave in January to where they have very limited to no coaching options left. Cause if that happened they potentially would have to have an interim for a year

IMHO If he chooses to accept an offer from LSU, it would be wise he vacates his OM HC office immediately. Assuming there are provisions in his contract that allows him to leave. This will not set well with OM fans. As history has shown us, SEC fans do get a bit rowdy at times.
Anyway, Lane Kiffin has proven his ability to win. IMO he and LSU would be a good fit. Heck, any coach that wins would be a good fit. Whatever he wants.......

Didn’t he leave Tennessee in middle of the night? Difference circumstances and not saying this is the case here. I also think he is a different person but the precedent is there .
