I’d rather just eat McDonalds or cook at that point.

Can you get a loaded baked potato and a cold beer at McDonald's?

You'd rather eat McDonalds than Texas Roadhouse? How fat are you

Well, you solved it then. We should all behave exactly the way you do in every situation.

Simple answer: the consistency of expected food, may not be the best food, but you know what you are going to get regardless if an Olive Garden in San Francisco, St. Louis, Raleigh, or Omaha.

Part of it is laziness in decision making, and part of it is people that want to know what they’re getting.
I used to have a boss like this. We’d go on work trips and he’d just eat at the closest known chain next to the hotel (Chilis, Texas Roadhouse, Outback, etc). I’d prefer to just grab something quick to go from a gas station or fast food at that point and not waste my time.

I avoid that place because the wait staff spends more time on being singing jackasses than serving my damn food.
