bring it on. I'd love for Mexico to be taken over honestly. Make them a vassal state. Root out the cartels, give freedom back to the Mexicans, allow them to prosper. Open up tourism to levels never seen before. Bring in the money, the development, etc. In ten years under this new system, you'd see a massive change the likes of which haven't been seen in Mexico's history.

I had a long conversation about 6 years ago with a Mexican visiting some relatives in town. He's a bank manager in Monterrey. He said the biggest problem living there deals with security. If you have a nice house in a nice neighborhood you spend a lot of money on security...structural, electronic and sometimes paid guards.
He also said that the college students going into lucrative fields all take classes in English. They want to eventually move to the U.S. where they can make money in high skilled jobs.

You can’t drive a nice vehicle through Mexico either. Try taking a Cadillac Escalade from Texas to Mexico City. You won’t make it far
1. Corrupt police will pull you over and either demand a bribe to let you go or confiscate your vehicle
2. You’ll be mistaken for rival cartel because only cartel members have those types of vehicles and get shot to pieces
3. Cartel will see a potential wealthy gringo and kidnap you for ransom

I heard literally nothing from the MSM about these protests in MXC, but it's refreshing to see. We can't fix Mexico's problems. They'll have to do that for themselves. But if they move in the right direction and want help, can't say I'd be opposed to providing support. Make Mexico desirable so that all their people don't want to leave and come to the US. This can be done.
