The penix is flaccid

As bad as the Saints are the falcons have possibly fricked up their future even worse

Does this help secure Raheem for another season?

The Falcons signed Cousins and drafted Penix. Neither seems to be working out too well. Sucks

That 2026 Falcons first round pick the Rams got in exchange for their 26th pick last year is looking pretty good.

Injuries have been the knock on Penix

Knowing Blank, probably. But if he comes back, the fans will literally revolt on Flowery Branch.

Blank is a bottom-5 owner. The Falcons are an absolute dumpster fire and it has all been under his watch.

Well, if you knock on a Penix too much, there are bound to be injuries.

A fractured Penix is never good.

Stroke of bad luck.

Hope he can rise back up.

He hasn't hit the climax of his career yet.

okay i'm done.

Is it just me or does it seem like there are way more IR and season ending injuries in football now?

Is it a product of how players are built and maintained now? Or is it just that the reporting is better and teams are more likely to rehab those injuries instead of letting a player play hurt?

Defensive lines are just dominating the Olines, which is leading to QBs getting hurt. The NFL has an Online problem for sure.

Penix can’t stay erect.

This and more and more teams play on turf. It’s easier to get injured on turf.

This would be at least his third season-ending knee injury in his career, am I right?

His knees have to be hanging on by a thread at this point. Have to think with all the issues he's going to have a shortened career due to arthritis or some other degenerative issue.

Penix was also a huge gamble to draft as high as he was. There’s a reason everyone was shocked he went where he did outside of it being the Falcons that had just signed a QB.

He blew both ACLs in college AND injured both shoulders.

That game Sunday is going to be football's version of the Jimmy vs Timmy cripple fight from South Park. It really is amazing how much Matt Ryan and Drew Brees propped up these two dogshit franchises for 15 years.

At this point everyone from Rich McKay on down needs to be shown the door, and Blank needs to sell the team.

Potentially... your title makes is sound as if it is already decided.. but your link clearly shows still being evaluated

ESPN sources: Falcons QB Michael Penix suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury during Sunday’s loss to the Panthers. Penix will be seeking a second opinion, but it is not encouraging
