Despite Some Missteps, I think Trump is so far a success

Hasn't been the best two weeks or so of the Administration and seeing a lot of people (including myself, to some extent) feeling letdown by Trump

The big issues were the border and all the illegals let in here.

He has secured the border and while I would like to see more deportations the Administration is having to fight States and the lower level (district court) federal judiciary.
He has also gone into these deep blue cities and laid bare the ridiculousness of their leaders with respect to crime and general governance of the cities.

That in and of itself makes his term so far fairly successful.

Other issues:

he is cleaning up the military with the woke crap;
making progress in ending DEI;
his trade program has been chaotic but on the surface at least it looks like he is getting some good deals with other countries - although to be fair, time will bear out whether they actually work;

There are a few more items, I am sure, that you could put down as success or partial success - that is just quickly off the top of my head.

I am also not one who thinks keeping the Trump-1-era tax cuts is a bad thing, despite the critics saying it raises the debt.
The problems I see are:
- the constant, 'something big is coming': this is particularly out of the DOJ
- the weird Epstein files saga, something I do not understand;
- the stupid comments about Americans and H1b visas;
- getting Congress to act (which isn't something I hold against Trump all that much).

I do not fault him so much for focusing on foreign affairs - see the trade deals, and these wars were not his doing, they were thrust upon him and he has largely done a good job with them, imo. I would prefer us to be more forceful with Ukraine, but all in all i think he has turned a bad situation for the US there into a neutral one.

All in all it seems far from doom and gloom like I am seeing from a segment of people.

All you have to do is consider where we would be with Kamala.

I thought his first term was good, and his current term is much better.

First term he had bad people around him who leaked like a sieve and worked against him. He’s done a better job with that this time.

There are complaints about Hegseth, Patel, and Bondi specifically. I was glad to see Hegseth weathered the leftist/MSM campaign to have him removed.

This has been a MAJOR success. Are you kidding me?

We would be so fricked if Trump didn't win.

It's an odd shift I notice here. It doesn't necessarily feel organic either.

It is a huge SUCCESS but Americans must understand it will be worse before it gets better. You can not right the ship called America overnight, especially in a strong handout current, but once it is done, we can all go to sleep at night with our doors unlocked!!

I don't love everything Trump has done but compare him to the other option and he looks like superman. It's sadly that simple.

I can't tell if you're endlessly optimistic or just stupid and naive. The more you post the harder it gets to tell.

His biggest accomplishment was keeping Kamala out of the Oval Office.

Trumps biggest misstep is his uncanny ability to appoint the most unqualified and incompetent people for various government positions.

I 100% support much of what he is doing. That doesn't mean no criticism allowed which seems to be the view of many.

Trump believe there should be no criticism as well, which isn't his best characteristic. Better he invite them to the white house and explain himself than publically attack like he would a democrat.

Better than anything Democrat.

Could you imagine how many illegals would be in the US by now all living on your tax dollars.
