Shepherd has zero HC experience and not even one full season of DC experience.

He’s had more than one good game, this season

That said, it’s a huge gamble thinking he could run a program

I didn't need to watch last night's game to know it was Sheppard; his defense has been consistently strong all season; despite the injuries they faced.

I don’t think Shep is the guy, but this shouldn’t be a dealbreaker.

How many years of experience did Kelly have? Your point isn't the mic-drop disqualifier you think it is.

This will hurt some feelings, but he’s not qualified.

That’s pretty much the end of it.

The litmus test should be, “if this guy wasn’t an LSU legacy, would you be lobbying for him with the same fervor?”
If the answer is no, took should stfu

Having 10 good games of defense with this Lions squad isn’t all that great.
1. They were very good the last couple years, including last year when they had piles of injuries including Aidan Hutchinson.
2. Look how swell Aaron Glenn is doing with the Jets.
3. You can’t evaluate a coordinator based on 1yrs results.
4. Guy is still young, maybe he gets a chance here some time down the road.

Yeah Kelly did have years of experience and he was 34-14 and 19-10 in conference play.
As much as I wanted a change as well, LSU fans have a short term memory of how it can actually be a lot worse than that record

I’d interview him. If he seemed smart and driven, had great personality traits, came prepared with a good plan and was willing to take the job with only four years guaranteed I’d hire him.

Cool. Lets look at all of the "Top" Options from a few years ago that we all thought were slam dunk home run hires.

Dabo Swinney. LOLOLOLOL.
Lincoln Riley. LOLOLOL
Luke Fickell. LOLOLOL
Matt Rhule. LOLOLOL.
Brian Kelly. LOLOLOL.
