Chester is a guard. You haven’t seen progress because they’ve played him at center and tackle.

Square peg, needs to go in the square hole

I've never seen a lineman play as weakly as Chester. He has great size, but just gets destroyed.

They were both solid gets as recruits so maybe they'll come around but I've been watching them get fricking manhandled. And neither are remotely under-sized.

Like the guy below you said, he plays so weak it’s hard to say if/where he would actually fit. If he was a mauler who couldn’t move, playing him at guard would make sense. That’s not the case. Both he and Davis are athletic lineman, they just have zero skill or understanding on how to play and use leverage.

Almost like they haven't been coached well at weak a$$ed practices.

Davis is a fricking mountain out there and seeing him get bested constantly is very disappointing. He needs better coaching in the worst way.

I don't think Chester is with the team anymore or gonna play again this season according to Ruffino. I'd like to see every one of them under a different O line coach. We don't even know who our best five are apperntly. Orry Williams, Coen Echols, Carius Curne look way better than any combination of Chester, Davis, Mubenga that we rolled out there first half of the season.

Yes, there's HOPE for both of them. There's HOPE for Chester at Georgia Southern and HOPE for Davis at Texas Southern. I HOPE they both enter the Transfer Portal. Of course, a great OL Coach could improve them from a Physical and Technique perspective, but if they'll ever have the "Mental-Quick Information Processing Skills" that OL's need.

Our QB got worse.
Our RB got worse.
Our WRs got worse.
Our TEs got worse.
Our OL got worse.

Seems to me that if every player in this program regressed from one year to the next, that it isn't a player issue but a coaching problem.

I'd hold off judging any player and their development under this shite show of a coaching staff.

I'm willing to give them a chance against next year with better coaching but only if they're willing to potential lose their spots to someone better in the portal. If they want to come back to compete, yes. If they want their spot guaranteed, cya. You're not good enough for that guarantee so we'll just snag someone in the portal.

Hard to say when they’ve been coached by Sloan and Brad Davis.

That said, wouldn’t surprise me if neither are in the team next season.

Mansoor and Haulcey have been the best players on the team all year. Hmm, what's the commonality there?

(Weeks has been good too but you can't just disregard the big games that he's miissed.)

Based off of what we’ve seen from him so far, would take a minor miracle for davis to ever be an SEC level tackle

Davis will get the jump on whoever he’s facing and then hold on tightly.
