Why is Florida so confident they are getting Lane?

Like am I missing something that has leaked? I just have been wondering. I remember back in 2021 or whenever we hired BK, a lot of LSU including myself was confident we were getting Lincoln Riley and that smoke turned into mustard gas lol.

In one article I saw, a reporter questioning Lane after a Florida game, said something like "this place is really special to me, this is where I met my wife, I love this place."
