The Trump Organization requested 184 foreign workers to work across various company properties, a record number that has increased over the years.
The company sought to hire workers through H-2A and H-2B visas for temporary positions at Mar-a-Lago, two golf clubs and at Trump Vineyard Estates in Charlottesville, Va., according to data from the Department of Labor.
Over the course of Trump’s first term and the first nine months of his second term, the Trump Organization’s visa requests increased from 121 in 2021 to 184 in 2025, according to Forbes. Overall, the company has filed to hire 566 foreign laborers, primarily to work as servers, farm workers, kitchen staff, clerks and housekeepers.
For the H-2A and H-2B visa programs, businesses need the Department of Labor’s approval before petitioning the Department of Homeland Security. After that, the State Department issues the visas.
The Hill has reached out to the Trump Organization and the White House for comment.
Trump previously defended bringing in foreign workers on visas on Fox News’s “The Ingraham Angle” on Tuesday. He argued the U.S. does not have enough people with “certain talents” to do particular jobs.
After Ingraham said bringing in thousands of foreign workers would hurt efforts to raise wages, Trump agreed, but added, “You also do have to bring in talent.”
“You can’t take people off an unemployment line and say, ‘I’m going to put you into a factory where we’re going to make missiles,'” he later said in the interview.
Following Trump’s interview, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) appeared to criticize the president’s remarks.
“I am solidly against you being replaced by foreign labor, like with H1Bs,” she wrote in a post on the social platform X.
The H-1B visa program, created in 1990, allows employers to hire foreign workers in certain specialty occupations.
In September, Trump signed a proclamation to raise H-1B visa fees to $100,000 to encourage companies to hire American workers instead. The fee does not apply to anyone who currently has a visa.

Just not enough talented workers in America to fill those positions I guess.
As long as they're here legally and paying taxes, I guess it's okay.

Blame Poor Parents as well as the Dept of Eduction and the Teachers Union.
Hard to attract young adults who are living in their parents basement and never learned a Trade.

Sure you can. You put them on the assembly line where their job is to screw some stuff together until they learn more advanced tasks.

It’s sounds like a bad idea to have foreign workers working at Trump’s 2nd home or one of his golf courses.
If someone is trying to hide their identity and get close to Trump this would be the way to do it. It would be almost impossible to get accurate information if they are good at hiding background identification.

I don’t know how y’all haven’t learned by now.
Of course they would just omit silly things like this because they want fake outrage towards Trump.

Amazon was the top recipient of H-1B visas for fiscal year 2025, with over 10,000 visas approved. Microsoft, Meta, Apple, Tata and Google also received a substantial number of H-1B visas in 2025.

I don’t think it matters what type it is, but people see the hypocrisy of him using cheap labor through foreign workers.

H visas started in the 50s
Bush sr signed immigration act into law in 1990 that split them to h1a and h1b. And out a cap at 65k
Clinton put a $500 fee and increased the cap to 115k for 3 years then 195k for 3 years.
W increased the fee to 1,500 and brought the cap down to 65k. But added another 20k just for people with masters. Total of 85k.
Trump actually suspended visas for a year during Covid. Biden let them resume when he was in. And Trump now out a $100k fee on them.
To get rid of the visas you are going to need congress to do that.

Without immigration or H1B can you explain how we grow our economy with the population pyramid above?
