She's right that the results this year aren't grounds for firing. This was expected.
But, what she ignores is that Mickey put the team in this position with years worth of bad decisions. And, he had to be dragged into rebuilding by circumstance. Otherwise, he would have dug the hole even deeper.

We are in a ‘rebuilding year’ because Loomis drove the team into the ground with his trades and draft choices.
But since he told Gayle the team was going to suck before the season, it’s all good.
Between the Saints and Pels, she’s really way out of her league and needs to get out of ownership. It’s like Dumars and Loomis are taking advantage of a grandparent with dementia and just outright stealing money at this point.

Is mickey not pushing 70 years old…just depressing as an organization that her blind trust prevents us from joining the modern nfl.

Yes. Mickey had managed to manipulate her. And she seems very easy to manipulate.
Look. Gayle isn’t a businesswoman. She isn’t savvy. She doesn’t know what she doesn’t know. She certainly doesn’t know what it takes to succeed in a highly competitive environment.
And if we are being brutally honest, she isn’t even in touch with the general public to even know there is a problem.
I predict that one day things will bubble up to a point that she finally realizes that she has a real problem. It will happen under duress of fans finally having enough. And she will melt under that pressure.

Payton, Brees abd ‘06 class was 20 years ago. The Super Bowl was 17 years ago. The 2017 draft class was 9 years ago. You’re 24-38 since Payton left.

I wish that all NFL teams were owned by the city they represent, like Green Bay. Although given Nola's election record we might actually be worse off than with Gayle.
