It's a poorly kept secret that Riley wants out of LA. That call was probably Armstrong kicking the tires on interest from LSU, not the other way around.

Lincoln Riley is not going to come to LSU. I could see him at A$M (Elko there so not happening), Texas (Sark might be leaving for NFL), and Florida in the SEC. LSU is not on that list. He does not want to come here.
