I’m liking those ones that wind themselves but they are a bit pricey. I wouldn’t mind spending the money if it’s worth it.
Also debating going with this one:

That's a wine bottle holder.

Pricey and in this case you get what you pay for. Well worth the $ and all their accessories are top notch as well.

These look great but I can't justify spending $300 on this.
I do have a problem with spending money on shite I don't need so I'm not saying that I wouldn't buy the 4 wheeled one at some point though.

I see that now.
I thought you ran the hose through the hole then wrapped it.

Check giraffe tools lineup. Should be some decent discounts coming with Black Friday too. I bought one, then added 2 more to other sides of the house since the first was so good.

I've had one from Amazon for 2 years...1/2 inch 100 feet. Very satisfied with it. I can't remember the brand name right now though.

Was that pic taken in a Goodwill store?

Everything is a hose reel if you try hard enough.

They are great, recommended and installed several of the wall mount versions for others. Definitely going to get one for myself too. Really want a high-quality hose to match though, something like a Flexzilla or a US-made Continental, makes a world of difference when reeling back in.

I like my Hozereel. Works fine so far.

Well built hose reel and the hose is very, very good. Well worth the $900 I spent for the hose reel, hose, and quick connect fittings. Those fittings are a beast.

Seriously... Everything they make is top notch. They're the definition of buy once, cry once.

Agreed. Eley is expensive, but worth it. Their hose pipe is legit, too. I own several & gave it out as Christmas gifts for those too thrifty to spend that kind of money on a hose reel.

I have a couple of the Giraffe ones. They are ok but they are made more for the small applications and don’t hold up well in the weather/sun for the price. Seem like they are made for a patio home. After a year, 2 womt recoil all the way and the 3rd broke into 4 pieces. The one inside my shop seems to be holding string but it’s inside and not used regularly.
The metal ones shown earlier seem much better and you can get your own hose
