I am honestly surprised by Landry's incompetence in handling this situation. Maybe I shouldn't be, but how do you get elected to that level of office being that dumb?

He shouldn’t be involved at all, much less publicly.

I'd venture to guess that over 75% of the posters that have voiced distain for Jeff Landry on this board have voted republican their entire life. Incompetence is, unfortunately, not limited to the democratic party.

Landry is much better than the guy he replaced, unless you are into being forced to shut down your business or having to choose between getting vaxed or lose your job.

He conned the LA Republicans into endorsing him way ahead of time. That and local name recognition made him a shoe in.

In all actuality, he's pretty smart. I know people close to him who have confirmed. He's fairly intelligent behind the scenes. Now - he IS trying to look dumb, which is even more insulting. He's wearing the "conservative" suit and just blabbing out all these Rush Limbaugh/Trump/Tucker buzzwords because it works and stupid people eat that shite up.
I don't think he's a very good person. I don't think he has the state working in it's best interest, and I certainly don't think he's doing LSU any favors - at all.
