Yeah, Congress snuck a provision into the FY2026 spending bill (H.R. 5371) that redefines hemp to cap THC at 0.4mg per product—banning most intoxicating hemp-derived stuff like Delta-8 and THC drinks starting late 2026. Hemp lobby’s pissed, calls it a $28B industry killer.

So now you gotta eat 10 gummies to get 4g. No big deal. Just make them 1/10 the price and smaller.
I can eat a whole box of Jr. Mints. No problem.

There seems to be somewhat of an inverse relationship between THC and alcohol consumption

If that’s what it takes to be able to go into the city without having to smell the strong stench of skunk everywhere, then so be it.

You’re advocating taking it away.. you tell us why that’s good.. and try to balance the hypocrisy with alcohol as best you can..
This will not solve the complaint of people smoking in public as these products are designed and sold as edible or drinkable products in most instances.

You aren’t smelling gummies and seltzers, this doesn’t affect smoking

That’s real weed, this won’t do anything about that.

Conspiracy theory: Police departments were losing revenue from overall number of DUIs decreasing from the popularity of edible THC products. Package that with declining alcohol sales and something had to be done.
