Probably costs more to send them to jail unfortunately.
Cut them off of SNAP and garnish their wages/assets to pay restitution for whatever fraud they received.

Absolutely! If folks start paying a price for cheating the system and stealing your and my tax dollars, maybe some will think twice.
The whole system needs to be updated. The system should catch this. No reason why today's computers can't keep track of these things. The banks do a good job of tracking my loan payments!

Just make everyone go in person with ID/ Birth Certificate, do a face scan/fingerprint to resign up. Then make them have an app where they have to face scan/finger print to access the barcode for the cashier to scan. That would cut a lot of fraud.

Oh cool, we can split up all their valuable assets and mega-salaries. Just cut them off and cut our losses, or we’ll spend more money fighting Judge Boasberg than we save in SNAP benefits.
