The Pac-12 Conference and USA Sports today jointly announced a five-year partnership that will begin in 2026-27 and feature the new Pac-12 as the premier college sports offering on USA Network, including regular season action for football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball as well as the league’s men’s basketball tournament.

As part of the long-term partnership, which runs through the 2030-31 season, USA Network will feature consistent regular season action for the new Pac-12, including:

New Pac-12 & USA Sports Highlights on USA Network
22 regular season football games each season
50 regular season men’s basketball games each season
5-10 regular season women’s basketball games each season

USA Sports will also be home to the Pac-12’s men’s basketball tournament leading up to the championship game, which will air on CBS. Octagon, the Pac-12’s exclusive media rights advisor, served as advisor for the league’s long-term partnerships with CBS Sports, The CW and USA Sports.

“The new Pac-12 is where tradition meets transformation — a unique opportunity in the rapidly-evolving college sports landscape that strongly aligns with the go-forward vision of USA Sports,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould. “We are thrilled to launch this partnership with the USA Sports team and leverage our shared vision to build something unique and special.”

“USA Sports is proud to partner with the new Pac-12 and showcase the league to a national audience on USA Network,” said Matt Hong, President of USA Sports. “Our partnership further establishes USA Network as a destination for all sports fans, with weekends packed with Pac-12 football doubleheaders and men’s and women’s basketball double- and triple-headers beginning next fall.”

With the announcement, Pac-12 football will see its regular season home games broadcast across CBS, The CW, CBS Sports Network and USA Network as well as the Pac-12 Football Championship Game on CBS. In addition, the new Pac-12 will see the overwhelming majority of its regular season home men’s basketball games broadcast across CBS, The CW, CBS Sports Network and USA Network, with the tournament games airing on USA Network up to the championship game on CBS.

Pac-12 Enterprises, the broadcast production arm of the conference, will produce all football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games on USA Network as part of the partnership, totaling 80+ events annually.

Now with three long-term media partners in CBS Sports, The CW and USA Sports, the new Pac-12, featuring Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon State, San Diego State, Texas State, Utah State and Washington State, will see several notable highlights as part of its partnerships, including:

New Pac-12’s Broadcast Highlights

Football’s maximum reach & national exposure - The new Pac-12 will see the entirety of its football slate, its home game broadcasts, available either to 100% of U.S. television households via national over-the-air broadcast networks (CBS & The CW) or via cable, satellite or over-the-top streaming on national cable networks (CBS Sports Network & USA Network).

Men’s Basketball - Similarly for men’s basketball the league will see the overwhelming majority (over 70 percent) of its regular season home games broadcast across the same networks (CBS, The CW, CBS Sports Network and USA Network). In addition, the league’s men’s basketball tournament will be featured on USA Network leading up to the championship game on CBS.

Women’s Basketball - The new Pac-12 will see women’s basketball featured across The CW (15 regular season games) and USA Network (5-10 regular season games) as well as its semifinals and championship game of the league’s tournament on The CW.

Pac-12 Enterprises production - The league’s best-in-class broadcast production company, Pac-12 Enterprises, will produce 150+ broadcasts for the new Pac-12’s media partners across football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball as part of its long-term partnerships.

Sadly that might be more National reach than the ACC deal, which is saying something

Should be some solid late night football matchups within this group

Pac after dark os back!

I wonder if the 2 stalwarts are getting a bigger cut of the pie? The others are still making more than before (I assume) but would make sense the 2 holdouts get more. If they can grow audience then can make it more even at renewal time.

I would like to see the money breakdown. It’s not a bad deal to be honest. And travel costs are way less for the 2 vs those teams who bolted and now have so much travel.

Another reported aspect of this deal I’m jealous of is that ALL home game kickoff times will be set before the season for all schools

I envy any conference not at the mercy of Disney.

I see both sides of this.

For Pac it’s a great deal since their games are less relevant to the bigger picture.

For SEC, our bread is buttered by TV deals that pay a crapload of money. With so many teams - and teams can be good or bad but different than predicted before season - the networks need ability to flex/change start times to best showcase teams who will draw most eyes. That means you can’t fix times before season.

I know it sucks for planning but thats the world we live in. TV pays the bills and without it we wouldn’t have football like now. Imagine CBS having Florida vs Auburn at 7pm on ABC before season. Both had high projections and now both are coach-less. TV can flex in the best top matchups and so far SEC FB game ratings are blowing everyone else away including B10.

Not to demean those schools but the network wants to maximize games that can draw eyeballs. That actually helps all of us at renewal time. The big viewer numbers will give SEC leverage to get more money which benefits every team.

So for Pac its great bit for SEC it will never happen.

That's actually a huge perk. Not knowing kickoff times until 2 weeks out is extremely annoying, especially when you are traveling in for a game.

Back the Pac! Rooting for them to represent the G5 (well I guess six now) next year in the playoffs.

I'm hoping they can generate enough money to encourage Boise State and Utah State to add baseball programs. Boise had one for a short time but then COVID killed it.

Someone remind me why UNLV and some others aren't joining the revamped Pac 12:

Boise State
Colorado State
Fresno State
Gonzaga
Oregon State
San Diego State
Texas State
Utah State
Washington State

As spread out as that is (across four channels), it's still miles better than the frickin' Pac-12 Network.

UNLV and Air Force are getting higher payouts than the rest of the MWC to keep them in the fold. If they hadn't UNLV was Pac bound and Air Force was going to join Army and Navy in the American.
