I find it interesting that the country with the oldest conscription starting age is also a country currently at war.
The entire world ranges 17-19, with a couple of outliers of 16 or 21.... then one country it is 25, used to be 27.

Arming a large group that has no allegiance or loyalty to the country seems like a bad idea.

Based on how all of Europe treats immigrants, they will only allow their legal citizens to put their lives on the line to protect the immigrants currently destroying their countries.

Good point, but I wouldn't want to chance my life protecting folks in my country who are illegal and attempting to destroy it either.

You’re referring to Ukraine. They do this because they are facing a demographic catastrophe.
This problem is further exacerbated by the fact somewhere around 3 million military age males have fled the country since the start of the war.
