Even crazier how long ago Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle died, had you asked me before seeing this story I would have guessed both died within the last 5-6 years.

In 9 years, the boy will be older than Ray Romano was when the show started

Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens are two of our favorite fall asleep shows. We used to watch these on TVLand every night, now it’s Paramount+.

Really sucks what happened to the other brother.

Ray and Robert were great but the show would not have been what it was without Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle. They’re the reason I keep coming back year after year to watch. They nailed Frank and Marie

I didn't realize the daughter was a real life sibling to the twin boys. Sad news, one of the twins died in 2016.

This

ETA: Never watched either when they had their regular run, both were great shows. I have seen every episode for both numerous times in syndication.

Why would they tear the set down? They probably have reused it a dozen times since. If you really pay attention, you will see the same sets across different shows throughout the years

Seeing the Bewitched house and the Brady Bunch home reused in other series use to blow our little minds.

Talk about taking you out of the story quickly. Mannix in the Brady den, or you're watching Brian's Song and Gale Sayers is living in Samantha Stevens' house.

Ray has been gray for so long I wonder why he dyed his hair and beard. Is for another show and not just for this reunion?

Also, Ray on Doris Roberts:
quote:

Here's how good she was: She played the most intrusive, overbearing, nosy woman—always starting fights and whatnot and meddling in our business—and yet when I asked the fans who their favorite character was, all the time it was her. She was so good at portraying the love that was underneath.

She was in a few episodes of The Middle with Patricia Heaton as Brick’s teacher in 2010-2011. Ray was in one episode as well.

I looked, because it reminded me of the Full House set - and surprisingly, it was not used for other sitcoms

My two favorite sitcoms by a mile. Even all these years later if there's nothing else to watch, I will rewatch them on TV Land, and they still greatly hold up. They will crack me up.

Agree that Frank and Marie made the show.
This and KOQ one of my favorite shows for background noise.
Sawyer Sweeten was the son and killed himself in 2015.

One of my favorite exchanges between Frank and Marie

"Marie: I have my own opinions. I'm not just some trophy wife.
Frank: Trophy wife? What contest in hell did I win?"

Didn't realize Ray was 67.

That's only four years younger than Frank was when he died irl.
