BK should've took the settlement. Now he makes LSU look bad alongside himself. I knew this would happen. I said it, they probably had dirt on him but they didn't want to bring it to light so they offered a middle ground to settle. It makes both look bad.

He underestimates the powers that be and how corrupt Louisiana politicians are. I have little doubt they probably gathered dirt on him for years in case a situation like this came up. I'm pretty sure they did the same thing to O and Les. They knew about what Les was doing for sure.

No. Stop being a dumbass. It’s still a highly desirable job.

I think it does have some impact. To be honest though, if LSU does have cause, that's on BK not LSU. He broke his contract obligations and any business is going to protect themselves. It wouldn't be very smart for them to ignore keeping tabs on their coaches. Keep your pecker in your pants and maybe they have no grounds to fire you on.

They definitely kept tabs on O and Les which is why both settled. They came out as winners because LSU could've fired both for cause. BK got greedy.

Not weak, but probably someone without the skins on the wall. That's not the end of the world. Dillingham or McGuire would probably do well here. Maybe even Key or Sheppard.

Nah he’s got a degree in political science and thinks he’s going to come out ahead on this.

He’s an a-hole

Everyone keeps talking about not getting a big name, LSU got a big-name last time how did that work out? It's all a crap shoot. Some 30yo OC could end up being the next big thing, we just have to watch this thing play out. It'll be ok.

Spot on analysis. Dont sleep on the fact that he's a northerner; his extreme "not one of us" background actively hurts the situation as it becomes contentious.

If I’m Kiffin I can’t wait to sign up to have my phone and computer bugged, a GPS tracker on my car, and Louisiana facial recognition cameras follow my every move. Throw in a willing realtor throwing herself at the new coach and what could go wrong?

The way Kiffin acts they absolutely would have dirt on him in year 1

I don't think you have to worry about that anyway because he's not coming here imo.

No, but unfortunately for the rest of us, we’re stuck with a weak fanbase.

our next head coach won't be a big name, we're done with that.

It will a fairly successful lower Power 4 or G5 head coach, with upside. Give him a good, but not insane, contract with incentives.
