If you do why? They’re a leech that uses us.

They’re a western outpost in the Middle East, nothing more, nothing less.

The money given to them is effectively an extension of our military budget, as some 80-85% gets reinvested to American defense contractors. Our annual defense budget is $1t, Israel gets $3b. It’s literally a drop in the bucket.

No.

I do think Israel is a sophisticated country that has helped us many times. I also think a lot of our security and interests in the region are intertwined and cooperation with Israel is often vital for us.

But, I think Israel frequently has motives other than shared benefit and isn't helping us out of any common worldview or particular kinship.

Yes and it is a shame we only give them 50% of the federal budget every year when the Bible says it should be 100%

It’s a neocon talking point.

I do believe strategically it’s good to have allies in the ME to combat terror but we now even have Muslim nations that we consider are our allies.

No. The Israeli government doesn't appreciate what we do for them. They also meddle in our affairs.

And this is coming from someone who is pro-Israel. I'm just not a fan of their government, just like I'm not a fan of my own country's corrupt Political Establishment.

PS - I'd say that Japan could well be America's #1 ally. Some of the Eastern European countries, like Hungary and Poland, seem to be fairly well-informed of what's really going on, too.

Israel has been exposed.

They are the reason for the forever wars and have for all intent and purposes taken over the MIC because of their political influence taken over by the Israel first billionaires and psyop blackmail.

They openly advocating censorship against anyone or any criticism against Israel.

They now openly advocate for genocide against palestinians.

Japan and South Korea are probably better allies. They are the lowest of all allies on the foreign aid welfare dole.

They're not even technically an ally on paper.
