Does anyone here use a "paid" version of ChatGPT? (pro, team, etc.)

Is it worth it? What do you get out of it?

Typically no limits on usage and access to the more refined models.

My son uses the ChatGPT Pro version provided by Auburn for his engineering classes and he said it 100x better than the free one.

I have the $20 a month plan and this thread reminded me i haven't used it in a few months. So I'm just wasting money.

I use pro. Mostly for making job descriptions and other bs admin tasks that would take up too much of my time. I only really needed pro because when I sit down to do that I want to knock it all out and not have to space it out because of free account limits.

Depends on your use case. I have and use heavily the Plus version of ChatGPT mostly for work and we also use Claude. If your only interest is for a glorified search engine, just use the free version

as for which version of ChatGPT:

The $20 isn't the pro version. That is the plus version. The pro version is $200 a month

I use Grok heavy almsot every day. I find it useful for my needs. I like the task feature. I have it spit out a summary of what happened in security and compliance around the world the previous week every Monday morning. I just review, cite, revise, and send off to marketing. Very helpful in researching niche regulations in EU, APAC, etc.

I want to try perplexity. If anyone has experience on the paid version of that one, provide your experience please.

I started paying the $20 a month for ChatGPT this month. Considering how much money I blow on other useless shite, it's worth it. Last night, I asked it if Jocko Molk was actually produced by TrueNutrition, and it gave me a very good breakdown of points that indicated it might not be produced there, and points that suggested the contrary, which was actually a good thing.

I have used it to refine my LinkedIn page, and my CV. It's like a search engine that isn't completely stupid. Having trouble with the lawnmower, I cut and paste the model number in, describe the problem, and it gives me the troubleshooting steps.

Could I have gone to Craftsman's website and done the same thing? Sure. But I again waste significantly more money on AppleTV, Hulu w/ Live TV, my NNTP subscription that I barely use, etc.

I've considered it for when Chicken raises prices on the TigerDroppings VIP subscription.

I use Pro version. It keeps tabs for all my conversations. I'm able to title the conversations reflective of the task or project. I go back to the conversations months later to continue developing the effort. Really like the organizational aspect of it.

I use Gemini Pro (we converted to the Google suite at work years ago) and it's super useful for building slides, searching for data in sheets, etc.

The best part of it though is the NotebookLM. I create notebooks and then load files and such into the appropriate notebook. Then when I need something I go and ask for it to build a report, audio file, mindmap, or whatever and it does it in seconds. It's saved me tons of time just complaining info on a specific topic.

I use Chat GPT Pro, Claude and TaxGPT. 90% is used for work and yes, the upgraded versions are superior and worth the $$ if used daily.

I asked it to hack into the TD VIP lounge. There are some sick individuals with that access.

ChatGPT has the left’s mind virus for those that do not know. Grok is for those who do not want.

If you own a business or do anything sensitive for clients then DO NOT USE ChatGPT or Anthropic's Claude. Grok and Perplexity are the two best with private settings so you can use confidential queries and your uploaded data stolen.

Tried the TigerDroppings AI that comes with the VIP subscription.

Most of the answers given are 3.5.
