LSU looks like they won’t honor a buyout they signed. Now trying to fire Kelly for cause when you didn’t fire O for cause and your promoted Verge to AD with all his baggage. Probably gonna have to go the McMahon route, a young up and comer.

I had been optimistic about the situation but this is very, very bad.

I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but this is likely the route we were going anyway. Kiffin and Saban is a pipe dream.

Les Miles
O
Kelly

you could make the argument we haven't had a great coach since Nick Saban

20 seasons!

2 decades

and people wonder why we struggle to be optimistic about this hire

very worried because Louisiana likes to play in the mud....being so incompetent

Kelly is doing himself no favors fightly LSU over a settlement

he didn't earn the first 40 million dollars...he played golf, avoided recruiting, went to the beach, "make an appointment" and drank wine and was banging some realtor.

So I am pissed at him not LSU admin at this point

Maybe I am just an optimist but I want a hungry up and comer vs a burned out old guy who just wants a retirement contract

O gave us the greatest team and season of all time in CFB

his buyout was 17m

Kelly gave us a shite show and wants 54m

can you tell the difference?

Put it on the list of things I can't control. Also put me on the list of things I won't be shocked under. LSU could hire a stud or a dud, at the end of the day the wheel will roll one way or another.

I say we keep Frank and go out and buy an OL. That's the only missing piece. MVB can win with a quality/SEC OL.

Are you kidding? This scenario of clusters on all fronts was clearly visible when the frantic public lynching and subsequent mid season firings were on the table.

It was unprofessional chaos. And the void in any leadership is being filled with more chaos.

Maybe once the season is over we can regroup and restore order. But we have a ways to go yet.

Won a championship, made a second, and was essentially automatic 10 wins every year. Yes he got long in the tooth and lsu should’ve parted ways sooner. But let’s not act like Les was anything other than a complete successful following someone like Saban.

It’s interesting that reports are now coming out that LSU is terminating for cause. There is something brewing behind the scenes. You don’t say that without something, legally speaking. I’m sure the language states this would go to arbitration, and an arbitrator is going to look poorly on an accusation of “for cause” being “cause you suck.” Surely thy have to be smarter than that. On the surface it sounds like they gave Kelly the opportunity to settle out of view and he’s not taking it.

Did you actually think Saban and Lane were options before this?

Who did you realistically think were options that won't take the job now if offered?

Only way out of this mess is to back the brinks truck up to Ms. Saban's house.
