I have been head down all day and have not heard a word about what the hell is going on.
I thought this was going to be done by now.
I have a flight on Thursday coming back on Sunday through Chicago and I need to figure out whether or not to cancel this thing.

Someone tried to slip in language banning legal THC products and Rand Paul noticed and got pissed.

How do people just casually slip things like that into a bill?

This isn't getting to the president's desk until Friday at the earliest lol.
I'd suspect government will reopen next Monday.
It still has to be voted on by House Democrats and with it being a holiday that probably won't happen until Wednesday at the EARLIEST. So I suspect it to get through Thursday and signed by the end of the weekend

Rand "wheres the camera" Paul

I cant really blame Rand here. All month we have heard it has to be a clean bill, every Republican on TV has been spouting we passed clean bills for Democrats so they must do the same. Now here we are, everyone ready and the assholes slide in something to make it an unclean bill.

Because they only know how to pass budgets now so they hold shite like this hostage.

We all were told by Republicans: “Democrats need to open the government and then we will talk.” Well well well, they slipped shite in anyway and now dems join in and some republicans have questions. What happened to the clean CR that republicans had already agreed to!? Congress is useless.

a-hole Dems needed concessions now it has to go back to the house to vote on the changes
Posted on 11/10/25 at 4:37 pm to HEtiger
Well CR was only until 11/21 (10 days from me).

Happy Rand caught this. This is a BS move by the GOP, that affects many farming states and farming families.

I respect the holiday, however these idiots need to have priorities. They totally don’t care about their constituents!

Because the bills are so massive a lot of it goes unnoticed which is why we really need to require bills that address single issues and individual appropriations bills for each department or govt program
