On Kalshi (I know I know) Kiffin has been the leader at a steady 20-30% chance since the beginning. 5 minutes ago that chance jumped up to 87%.

I assume that any large wager on something like that drastically affects the odds

These markets are extremely illiquid. It might take only a couple of dollars to move these percentages wildly.

Yes to both of the responses above. Someone took a no position apparently after I posted this because it's now back down to 48% for Kiffin

Shouldn't have even brought this to the board. I knew they were volatile but I didn't realize how volatile this one was.

There's a very small overall volume of bets ($341k) so all it probably took was one ~$5k wager on Kiffin to flip things upside down.

Saban jumped to 70+% on that website at one point as well. I wouldn’t put any stock into that shite.

The owner of the gambling site is in on it. This makes others bet thinking they ha e inside info. Then when he dont go to Lsu, the dude gets his money back but everyone else loses their money.

"shite guys , he made a huge bet, he knows something."

Elementary mind tricks.

To be fair, the timeline of the Saban bump lines up with when I was told something about Saban.

From what I understand Saban was a very very very real possibility but unless you hear some news about admin changes, that ship has sailed.

I doubt Kalshi is jucing the lines on markets with sub $500k activity lol. There is $26 million on whether or not the government shutdown goes another day. The LSU coaching search market amounts to less than a percentage of a rounding error for them.

It was LSU. LSU is now paying for smoke screens in addition to coaches not coaching and players playing like crap.

Haha I do it. It’s a pretty easy 10% per week gain to your portfolio.

What's an easy 10% per week?

What are you betting on every week?

I had Saban NO shares I got at 71 cents over the weekend and sold them at 90 cents this morning. I now have Kiffin NO shares at a 53 cent average. I have some lotto tickets on YES shares on Sheppard, Golesh, Stein, and Brady at 2 cents.

Beyond the LSU coach markets, I trade the SpaceX launch markets and some college football games. Most times the underdogs in SEC games are a good bet at least in the first half to get a quick 20-30% on your money.
