Can someone explain what Bama did

What did bama defense change that made LSU stop rolling Nuss to his right ? This worked early then they abandoned the play. I’m sure bama changed something but I did not pick it up .

They didn’t have to do anything. We have nobody on the offensive staff that has a clue about football. Once the scripted plays were done we reverted back to the same offense we’ve been unsuccessfully running all year

The same thing with Berry running plays. They stopped calling it..

The repeated WR screen calls were maddening. Stopped working, stop calling.

Guessing the first 20-25 plays were scripted, then after that they went to shite with the play calling.

McElroy was just off on his timing. I think LSU's staff is waiting to fake the sideline screen and then throw a deep incompletion at the end of the Poulin Weed eater Bowl.

You can only run bootleg plays so many times with an immobile quarterback. When you have a drop back passer, he has more options if he stays in the pocket, i.e., he can throw anywhere on the field. When you role him out on a bootleg (without blocking as you hope the defensive end follows the play fake) he only has one or two possibilities on one side of the field.

Generally true, but Nuss has avoided the middle of the field as if was the plague.

still mind fricked on how we only threw the ball to Green once, and then unlike him he dropped a wide open pass.

Nothing. When you can rush 3 and still get to him. Thats a travesty.

The Offensive staff panics. The amount of screens we run is maddening. The play calling after the second drive was just not good. Its like they get down and they panic and just revert to all the screens and RPOs.
The first drive of the second half was really good but they just implode in the red zone. Even with MVB they still call far too many screens. For Screens to be successful you need to be running the football and we did not run try to reestablish the running game in the second half. Just maddening.
Everyone expecting fireworks with MVB are going to be in for a rude awakening. The offense might move the ball more effectively but the offensive structure is so bad its not going to be "good." I just hope it doesn't ruin MVB mentally.
And despite what everyone feels about Nuss I feel so bad for the kid. Yes hes played very poorly this year but the offensive structure around him has been terrible.

I don’t even know if we even call progession plays cause it takes so long for our receivers to even get separation. By that time the OL is already on their heels. It’s honestly impressive how bad these coaches are.We can still get the ball out quick without screens. We can still push the ball down field. They refuse to try anything else. Even though Aaron Anderson can beat anyone on slants. We always go away from what works. It’s so bad we still called screens when they were ready for it and refuse to get Nuss or MVB in rhythm. That’s the problem. Not to mention the run game.

Our O line got tired! Lack on conditioning (Help us Tommy Moffit you're our only hope!)

And they never attempted to use it as a set-up either - Bama just pinned their ears back and blew it up

It’s so frustrating watching. First Sloan and now Atkins it seems neither understand the game and how to call plays. I remember watching Slinger call in fill in duty and sometimes he would run the same exact play from a slightly different formation….. Why? Because that play freaking worked

Gotta get 6 wins to be bowl eligible.... Western Kentucky should do it, but who knows? Not counting on an Arkansas or Oklahoma win, even though I'd love it.
