Chatgpt is a far better Cardiologist than my wife's doc she been going to for 15 years

77 years old, polio survivor, started fainting several times a day , last month. Urgent visit with cardiologist included mri where she fainted in front of doc. Additional testing ordered for a 14 day continuous heart monitor. That concluded 2 weeks ago with no report. Followup office visit not followed through by doc. No communication.
This morning I tried Chatgpt and what a wonderful analysis tool. I described her background, and symptoms . And in a few minutes receive an on topic description of the malady, Vasovagal Syncope, contributing factors, meds to consider adjusting, daily hydration techniques, exercise program and check sheets tailored to a paraplegic. Everything I need to work with a general practitioner.
The medical world has changed. Maintenance health worked through Pompus Specialists will go the way of fat sam. Bring your chatgpt info to the discussion

Hope she’s better, friend.

Lol, vasovagal is the most common reason for syncope and it isnt dangerous per se
You have to rule out all the bad shite first though
EKG, cardiac enzymes, 2 week monitor, echo and EEG. Probably a head CT but thats low yield if no headache or other symptoms

I trust my wife’s cardiologist.
But that is just me.

You should learn to accept what the internet tells you. AI is never wrong.

I... I don't think I'd just roll with ChapGPT's diagnosis alone.

Why don’t you let ChatGPT make your financial decision for you?
Posted on 11/8/25 at 9:14 pm to Trevaylin
When I ask ChatGPT a legal question, it gets it right, maybe, 10% of the time. About half the time the answer is barely related to my question, and the other 40% of the time it’s catastrophically wrong.
Take that as you will.

Your five cent DDx is vasovagal syncope. Why? It is the most likely cause. The problem is it does not rule out any of the other, potentially far more dangerous, causes.
Odds are it is a correct diagnosis but do you simply want to play the odds with your wife's healthcare or would you prefer that the actual cause(s) are determined and treated?

if i may ask, Why not a 2nd opinion from a different doctor?

We’ve had webmd for years. But it always diagnosed everything as dick cancer.

Well... the doc wasn't following up, so I can see why someone would ask AI while they're waiting.

"isn't dangerous per se". Let's see, medical advice by cardiologist message machine is to call 911 if she passes out and take to emergency hospital. Maybe if while passing out she falls and breaks a leg, arm, shoulder, or brain injury.
Cardilogist doc had all those tests run, but not motivated to communicate results.

Its just an AI version of Wikipedia

AI is outpacing radiologists and the unions are shitting their pants. They are demanding that the reading and reporting systems can ONLY offer suggestions but not finalize reports.
AI is a DEI's dream tool.
