American elections are now being decided based on tribal blood feuds in Africa

Ah yes, local politics being determined not by the collective wisdom of the voters, but by ethnic clan feuds recently carried over from a different continent.
Sounds really bad for democracy, which liberals claim to care about. But what do I know...

So in your framing, what timeframe can we compare, considering the implication in OP is that this is new behavior (Even though "old world/country" squabbles have been swaying local elections since before America was founded)?
*ETA: because this was 100% a thing about 100 years ago with the mass Catholic immigration from Europe, too.

Extremely clannish is a bit different than xenophobic, but yeah, okay, fair question.
But i’d add the modifiers, “actually and extremely”.
Most of the time, white westerners are pilloried for this extremely common and evolutionarily linked failing, but they are demonstrably less so than the groups supposedly being discriminated against.

Fair comparison, even though religious and cultural bigotry is slightly different than clan blood feuds.
But the historical framing matters. Even at the turn of the 19th/20th century when these divisions were at their height, Americans knew and debated the irrationality and incongruence of these beliefs. They had a deeper belief system that helped them to course correct. That being Christianity and the Imago Dei concept.

Have you been to Somalia? I have. They are actively killing one another over these differences. Now. Today. We are importing that. I can crack open the history books to see the part where wasps were necklacing Catholics on a regular basis in NYC a hundred years ago.
This is what we encountered in Iraq and Afghanistan. We thought we could understand their beefs for the same reason you made that false comparison. It is a deep seeded hatred going back as far as they can remember and is going in today.

We are importing all these differences from around the world and people are going to wonder what happened.
You have the Indians vs Pakistanis. moslims vs hindus ,
White guilted Christians letting in our historical enemies is going to be our demise. And nothing of significance will be done about it by Trump/Vance.
I know we need to get the Latinos to go back, but there are others that we really need to get out or the future of our nation is done as traditional native Americans know it.

I believe this is exactly right. Non-white and female populations (females being way too comfortable due to the safety, technology, and opportunities afforded to them by white men) are going to continue to grow and vote white males out of power in a country that wouldn’t exist and a world that would be centuries behind its current standard without us.
Countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia are going to maintain their power while the USA and Europe open the gates for everyone to come in and take over.
We are forfeiting everything to people who hate us (and at best take us for granted) because of too much fricking tolerance.
