Path to the playoffs

Things that need to happen
1. LSU win out
2. OU wins out to set up a top 10 win for LSU
3. ND loses one more
4. Ole miss, Vandy, A&M win out making our 3 losses to playoff teams and potentially one is an SEC champ
If all of this happens the tigers are in a position to be in the conversation of possibly getting in with 3 loses if the committee sticks to their new format of SOC

I think if LSU wins out they can sneak into the 10-12 spot, depending on how the cards fall.
The ACC might eat one another. Same with the Big 12.
One thing that people still need to look out for. If Michigan wins out (meaning beating Ohio State), they will get in and likely host at 10-2.
10-2 Michigan with wins over OSU and Washington likely falls between 9 and 6.

In that scenario LSU would be the 6th sec team in the playoffs. Not happening. Would Need both om and vandy to drop 2 of last 3.

2) we need 5 teams in the SEC to get in to make playoffs so need ACC and Big 12 to be a 1-bid league so SEC gets 5 bids.
getting to top 5 in SEC is doable in that scenario. Boils down to Bama also finishing with 3 losses and us getting the H2H tiebreaker on them so we need them to lose to Auburn or Oklahoma. Then A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss, Vandy and us get in. All 3 of our losses will be to playoff teams so we’d get a pass at 9-3 as long as we are ranked ahead of the #2 ACC and Big 12 team. Doable with top 10 wins over Bama and OU

100% lsu is in in this unicorn and rainbows scenario. Wins against top 5 and top 12, and only losses are top 5, top 10, top 15 currently.
