There is a much bigger mystery going on here. The sandwich situation is obvious. The guy had an important phone call and stepped outside. He was then mugged and shot. At the emergency room he required emergency surgery. But the surgeon came in, took a look at him, and said, "I can't operate on this man, he's my son."
