Are we seeing signs that this franchise is giving up on the NOLA experiment?

They've essentially given up on the things that all franchises do. Cost cutting at every move. Lots of chatter from media types that there has been a directive to Dumars to drastically cut back on spending at every level beyond the players.

With now an 0-6 team and absolutely no hope for the future, the crowds, such as they are, are going to be even thinner.

We may be witnessing the end of this franchise here and Gayle just giving up and selling, which would have been unthinkable.

Truly depressing stuff.

There is no other logical explanation.

Either willful ignorant and incompetent, or organized effort at relo.

She’s terrible no doubt. But without Gayle both of the franchises prolly bail on New Orleans.

My fandom is ready to travel with the new owner and relocation. Better days are ahead.

The thought of you traveling brightens everyone's day just a little.

It’s got to kill you to know I’ve been right all along about the state of NOLA sports franchises. Finally the majority are coming around that selling the teams is the only hope.

I'm to the point that I'm looking forward to pulling for my childhood team again. Let's go Sonics.

I feel like I recently saw a job posting for something with the pelicans. It wasn’t like a ticket sales rep. It was a high level position.

Also: food influencers are the fricking worst

I may be making this up but haven't there been rumblings of local people wanting to buy the team too? Gayle needs to sell, regardless if she's still interested or not.

Yeah they clearly quit. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s already some back channel conversations with investment groups about a sale

The fact that its noon and Willie has not been fired is evidence this is true.

There is no way in my opinion the team stays unless there is a directive by someone to keep them in the market. The value of the team is way higher in another market vs the current one.

Yes, I have just come the sad conclusion that our days in this market are numbered, and I can't even enjoy them because the team stinks and we traded our future away for Patrick fricking Queen

If Gayle sells, this team will be moved so fast your head will spin. I used to think that was worst case scenario, however I would rather see this team moved than watch an owner not give a single shite about the team like you’re seeing now.

Gayle never gave much of a shite about the pels but this is just straight quiet quitting on the fanbase

Yeah the franchise is so stupid that they traded away our future pick for and NFF linebacker.

Graves needs to buy the team and call it the New Orleans Raising Cane’s.

ETA: Chicken Fingers would also work. They’d be the top selling Merch in the league over night.
