re: Future priorities

Pass rusher! We need a stud rusher that can be a game changer. That should be number 1 priority. Qb is important but should be the last piece drafted on offense. The line obviously needs work. We don’t have a solid #1 WR and we need a TE. A solid pass rush makes your CBs look a lot better. The Dome Patril made Toi Cook and Vince Buck look serviceable so definitely think we should try to get that difference maker pass rusher.

In fairness that was on Olave’s soft arse.
Big body receiver? Didn’t our wonderful GM trade two picks for Vele who is that big bodied receiver? At least that is what we were told. This whole organization needs a cleansing. It won’t get better till then.
Kubiak wasn’t the problem with this team last year. Everyone loved him at 2-0. No one could have be successful with this team last year with all of the injuries and lack of depth. I wish he could have stayed but when Moore was hired, I knew that was never an option.
I agree. The problem is that Loomis doesn’t believe in trading back. Has he ever traded down to collect picks? No he is busy trading picks to draft project players or wide receivers who don’t even see the field. I know in a rebuild that we will lose a lot but what sucks is that I have no faith in Loomis accomplishing the rebuild. Hell, he will probably trade the 2027 first round pick to move into the bottom of the first round for the next Penning or Davenport.

Going to the Lightning/Islanders game in Tampa the night before the Saints/Bucs game in December. Looking forward to it.

Go Bolts!

Nah these look awful. Agree with Terry Bradshaw during the Fox Halftime show that these don’t look good at all and look like a lower level college team.

At his point, both QBs are trash. Hopefully we are just trying to set ourselves up with the number 1 pick in the draft next year and get a real QB. This team regressed from last week. Not a good sign.

I’m hoping that the organization knew this roster didn’t have a lot of talent and was punting on this year. How else do you explain going into the season with the three quarterbacks that we have? You can’t be serious about competing and playing a season with three quarterbacks they have have a combined 0 wins among them.
A couple of years back, we went to the Saints/Bucs game in Tampa with some friends that live in Florida. We caught a Lightning game while we were there and are hooked. Go Bolts!
Really think we need to build this team from the offend and defensive lines out. Stabilize both lines first. Worst thing to do is stick a rookie QB behind a mediocre offensive line and have him running for his life. Besides this years QB class isn’t that great. 2026 is looking like a much better class of QB.
I’ve been in remote since 2020 also and my productivity went up. In the office, there are always coworkers walking by talking and what are usually 10 minute Teams meetings become 30-40 minute in person meetings because people chit chat before during and after meetings.

Also, if I was in the middle of something or almost finished a report or I received an email 5 minutes before I was logging off and I was at home, I would finish up the report or answer the email because I knew I didn’t have e a 30-40 minute drive home in traffic. Going into the office means quitting time is quitting time.

Now I know I am probably on the minority on that but to throw a blanket “if you work at home, you are lazy and don’t work” statement over everyone is just wrong.

My son had a work flight this morning that leaves at 7:20. I went and dropped him off at the airport for 4:15 this morning and the airport was busy. I imagine it will just get busier as more people wake up.

I bet a lot of people just went from the game to the Quarter and then straight to the airport.
That beginning of the first quarter was nice when we had a 20 point lead, wasn't it.

Yeah, we have blown those picks. And what have we done to address this? Have the scouts who blew all of those picks been shown the door? We know Mickey is still here. I'm guessing the scouts are too. Something has to change. I agree we blew the earlier picks but damn, law of averages has to kick in at some point and we have to get lucky and hit on one. Bottom line is until there is wholesale change in the front office, get used to where we are.

It's amazing how far and how quick we have fallen since Payton left. Plus seeing how fast Denver became a playoff team, it is obvious Payton was the driving force of our success.
Am I the only one who thinks our biggest need is a stud pass rusher? We have a great RB(although getting up in age) in Kamara and Miller has shown flashes when healthy. Did anyone else watch opposing QBs sit and have all day to throw the ball? We have zero pass rush. Picking in the top ten, we should be able to get one of the top rushers. You build a team from the lines out..build out the offensive and defensive lines first. No secondary in the world can hold up if a QB has 6,7,8,9 seconds to throw every down. Plus, unless you have a shot at a Peyton Manning type can't miss QB, you don't want to put a rookie QB behind a shaky offensive line. Solidify your line and that can only help the development of a rookie QB.

Fangio is a great defensive coach but not really head coach material. Nothing wrong with that. I'd take him as Defensive coordinator any day.
