80% to $1350 per month for 2026. Thats with a 24k oop..this is the marketplace bronze optima plan.
It is insane to pay 16k for that annually.

Now just think of the healthcare that your tax dollars are paying for illegals to live here better than you do.

Funding SNAP for degenerates is more important than your case bud.

Individual market: Average monthly premiums in the individual market increased from approximately $244 in 2013 to $568 in 2022, a 133% rise according to The Heritage Foundation. Other sources report premiums more than doubling between 2013 and 2019.

Factors for increase: These hikes are partly attributed to the ACA's new regulations on the individual market, such as essential health benefits and prohibiting discrimination based on pre-existing conditions.
Employer-based market: Premiums in the employer-based market saw a smaller increase of about 44% over the same 2013-2022 period, as this market is less regulated by the ACA.

Recent/upcoming increases: Recent analyses show that premiums are projected to increase again in 2026, with an estimated 26% average increase on the ACA marketplaces.
Ignoring the obvious free Healthcare for illegals issue
Schumer shuts down fedgov for what's actually the smallest increase in Healthcare costs since the abortion of obummercare was implemented. You literally can't make this up

When I was unemployed I paid 1700 / month. Too much income and assets. It sucks to bust your arse and fund systems you get no benefit from.

Because of the Medicaid cuts, prepare to see 25-40% increases. These companies are going to make it up by gouging the people who play by the rules.

Obama care is a scam/tax to the self employed. I pay over $1200 a month for a single male with BCBS in Texas. I pay an extra $550 a quarter to have a concierge doctor.

You should thank the dead RINO and POS John McCain for this

Isn’t it fun when government gets involved in a marketplace? You get to fund someone else’s free shite through taxes then your premiums go through the roof from artificially created demand from the government.
Sort of like college too. Government fricks up whatever they touch.

You’re welcome. We’ve been subsidizing you for half a decade now.

It is the other way around genius.
He is self employed and makes too much $$$ to qualify for a subsidy.
He is getting hammered as does all self employed who are in his position.

Just curious, but is that for a whole family?
I've never understood how it can be worth it to pay $2200 a year for a concierge primary care doctor. That's a hell of a lot of sniffles and sneeze visits, isn't it? That's about all PCPs do these days other than refer you to specialists.
I bet I haven't been to my primary care doctor three times in five years. And I have chronic health issues which means I do go to the doctor, but I go to specialists, which a concierge plan obviously doesn't cover.
Even if all my specialist's visits were primary care visits, I still don't think I would go often enough to make it worth it financially.
Those of you who have these cash doctor subscriptions, what are you going to a PCP 1.2 times a month for?

That's awful. For that much money, it's probably better to put that money in savings and just fund your own health insurance plan as a direct payer.

If you add premiums and out of pocket deductible, that means you are out nearly 40k a year.
Someone should start a plan with a Medical Savings Account built in. Negotiate the cash price for members instead of the offset billing where facilities bill outrageous amounts to traditional insurance and government programs like Medicaid only come up with a member price that is a small fraction of the total bill.
This “insurance” builds a cash value has portable savings if you don’t use all 40k in a single year. That can roll into future years if not used all in one year. Call it a Health IRA.
Now what happens if you need more than 40k in expenses or you deplete your savings, a small portion of the premiums could go towards a catastrophic policy or reinsurance.

Why not pay $600-$700 a month and get Christian health share? After $1k yearly deductible, they pay 100%
