I have had bad luck with the replaceable blades. I’ve had two different times they have popped off while cutting so not looking for these. I know you get what you pay for alot of times: I don’t mind spending up to $150. Appreciate the suggestions, need something that’s easy to sharpen

I have 2 Benchmade fixed blades

Hidden Canyon and and Saddle Mountain is what I think they are. They both have a gut hook on them.

I’d recommend them. They’re great knives with very good metal in them. They’ve both cleaned 3-4 deer without being sharpened.

I have a boker arbolito I have been using for almost 30yrs. I also keep a mora scandi in my truck door that gets used a lot and sometimes just use my benchmade bugout, I typically use a Wyoming skinner for all my leg and belly cuts. Not using your main blade for ripping saves an edge.
My next will probably be a Montana knife company.

I’ve skinned probably a couple hundred deer with my trusted Buck 110. I keep it very sharp, and the blade isn’t as large as it used to be. But, if I killed one tomorrow, it’s what I’d be using…

Just use my pocket knife most of the time, sometimes a $20 Mora. Great knives.

My son was given a Charles May as a gift. Best knife I’ve ever used.
I use a Havalon and a Cutco.

I have a couple from MKC, the Stonewall Skinner and the Stoned Goat 2.0

The knife is fantastic. I will probably be getting the Freezeout next, just something smaller.

I'd definitely recommend the knives from MKC

I’ve got a lot of knives that I rotate, but if you’re looking for a good one that’s easy to sharpen, the buck 110 is the way to go. Multiple people have suggested it for a reason.

Dexter Russell Beef Skinner is my go to skinner. The Buck 110 is another great choice.

Dexter Sani-safe skinning knife

Cheap, great blade and handle, sharpens easier than anything else.

There's no reason to get any fixed blade knife other than a sani-safe. They are by a very dramatic margin the best value out there.

My personal preference has always been a fixed blade drop point hunter or something similar. Definitely not saying they are better than others, just my preference. I use all of the knives below in my rotation. I typically just use one knife per deer even if some of the knives will hold a good enough edge to process a second or third deer.

I'm a big fan of the Fallkniven knives. They are solid knives with a thick blade that hold a really sharp edge. This is one of my favorite knives.
Fallkniven R2 Fixed Blade Knife Black Polymer (3.2" Satin)
MSRP: $237.95
Our Price: $169.95
bladehq.com

This has been a great knife. i use the gutting part of the blade the most.
Outdoor Edge SwingBlaze Drop-Point Skinner/Gutting Knife (3.6" Satin) SZ-20N
Online Only
MSRP: $74.95
Our Price: $64.99
bladehq.com

Another great knife for the price
A. G. Russell Professional Hunter $75ish

Probably my favorites of all of my knives. I have several of these and love them all. Not sure i'd say they're any better than cheaper knives for skinning though, but they are great knives.
Bob Dozier Drop Point Hunter and other styles - probably north of $200, but you can find the ocassional one on sale. These are awesome. A bit harder to sharpen because of the steel (D2), but hold the edge longer than most of my other knives.
dozierknives.com

This is another great knife for the price. It doesn't hold an edge as long as some of the others, but definitely long enough to get through a deer or hog.
RUIKE Hornet Fixed Blade Knife Orange G-10 (3.25" Stonewash) F815
Online Only
MSRP: $61.95
Our Price: $54.95
bladehq.com

Fallkniven F1 VGWolf Steel Fixed Blade Knife Black Polymer (8.5" Satin)
MSRP: $221.95
Our Price: $149.95
bladehq.com

I'm also a big fan of the Buck 110 as others have mentioned.
