What are your top 3 outdoor cookers, in order? Starting my outdoor cooking area from scratch.
Include preferred brand if possible.
Thanks

Outdoor cookers? Grills, smokers, griddles, dutch oven pots with charcoal, propane burners, crawfish pots, jambalaya pots, fryers…??? Top 3 out of all of those? Top 3 most used? Top 3 favorites?
It depends on what I’m cooking. Not sure how to order them without specifics.

Weber Genesis w/burner, Lang smoker, & crawfish burner
Posted on 11/2/25 at 5:51 pm to 07Tiger
Rec tec pellet grill, blackstone, akorn charcoal grill, r&v works 4 gallon fryer, and 6.5 gallon jambalaya pot with burner.
ETA: 100 qt crawfish pot and burner
These are all things that I’ve accumulated over a 10 year span. Start with things you know you’ll use the most, and go from there. A man can never have too many toys. Plus the wife won’t be too mad because she gets to eat whatever you cook.

3 outdoor cookers, in order? Starting my outdoor cooking area from scratch.
1. Weber 22 inch charcoal kettle
2. Camp Chef 2 burner propane cooker
3. Bayou Classic single jet burner
It's all about accessories from there. That covers you from crawfish to brisket.

when cooking outside I find a propane or gas burner indispensable. Expands your repertoire considerably. I have one of those triple Carolina cooker burners and it’s fantastic and very affordable

Pit Boss Comp Series pellet cabinet smoker for obviously smoking stuff.
Chargrill 5 burner propane grill for grilling steaks and chops….good enough for Hank Hill, good enough for me.
Blackstone 4 burner for breakfast, any kind of hibachi /asian, burgers, quesadillas, etc.
I know stick burners and charcoal produce superior flavors but I’m lazy.

For the last several years, the top three I use:
Weber Genesis gas grill equipped with GrillGrates
Weber Master-Touch charcoal kettle
Weber Smokey Mountain 18-inch smoker
Enter the Weber Searwood 600 pellet grill/smoker
Just got it several weeks ago. It's taking on many of the cooks that used to be done on the kettle and WSM.
